cwp fitting
Hi everyone!
I am hoping to pick your brains people with regards to fitting a cwp! I recently removed the diff unit from my spare axle (bent casing) to put the TRD LSD into my new axle only to find the teeth were chipped on the cwp! (That would explain the whining then) So rather than strip my axle that is currently on the car I thought it would be a good time to invest in a lower ratio cwp to improve acceleration! The TRD LSD in my old axle looks in pretty good shape so I was hoping to pull the damaged cwp out and put the new one in! Im not sure exactly what is involved but I heard that it might have to be shimmed for backlash or something?? If anyone has any info or knowledge they could share I would really appreciate it! Im currently having a total shell restoration and a bit of engine work to get my car ready for a rally on the 2/3rd july! Hope it gets finished in time! Thanks for any info -Kipsy If I aint sideways, I aint trying hard enough!!!!!!! |
