Hey Apolan, before we start uploading pictures we should first agree on a universal measure of ride height. Just going with what it says on the box is no good, some springs do not give the indicated drop, others give more, some springs sag after time etc etc. Measuring is Always better then guessing no?
Maybe that something like this should be a sticky too. or in the faq. In the miata world it is customary to measure rideheight from the hubcenter to the arch lip. This is a preferred measuring point, since you can relate rideheight issues directly to suspension issues like bumpstopcontact etc. Nice, but doesn't work when you install flares or "custom" arches ala VW golf. I would suggest measuring front and rear rideheight by measuring the distance from the framerail nearest to that wheel to the ground. What I mean by framerail is the long lip running under the sidesills that also contains the jacking points. Measurements of this location should be more or less universal, as long as a car is measured on a relatively flat and horizontal surface (and the rail is more or less intact :-) ) A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |
