A slow death...
When the engine dies slowly, it is most likely to be a fuel problem. And
since you say it happened while you were in a traffic jam (and you are in summer), I would guess maybe some sort of vapour lock due to high underhood temperatures ? Maybe you got some leftover "winter" fuel when you filled up last time ? Anyway, unless it starts cutting out on a regular basis, I wouldn't be too concerned.
