Hey fii,
Exactly, with normal shocks you can only lower a couple of cms before you get into trouble. But with short strokes putting the car on stock height is far from ideal an even possibly impossible. Even if it is possible to go heigh enough your shock is still working less effective as it can only move so far when your car goes over bumps (works both ways, when compressing if your car is to low you and when expanding of your ride height is set to high).
