Beams (SXE10) inlet pattern the same as 16V or 20V 4AGE?

54mm... Seems a bit overkill to me.

And as per jenvey's site, it is. 54mm would be recommended for a car up to 372 hp...

I think Celica_RA45 who is producing around 186 kws (@ the rear wheels or just about 260rwhp) and is running 50mm ITB's iirc...
