20v into 85

hi there. I have used search but didnt find the answer.
I have an 85 and next week im planing to get 20v silvertop for it, the problem is i dont want to bash my firewall to use original dizzy.
i plan to control my eng with LINK ecu, so i can use aftermarket cam shafts. And that gives me abbility tu use coil packs instead of dizzy.
But the question is what should replace the dizzi with?
Do i use the 4a-gze crank angle sensor, If so what do i do to make it fit?
4a-ge dizzy and 4a-gze crank angle sensor seems to have different pulleys.
Or can i pick up the signal from the dizzy's base, without the dizzy cap?

just make a hole in the fire wall,simpel way to make the 20valve thing happen

thanks but i've said that im not goin to make a hole in my firewall.
If i do that then i'll get all sorts of certification problems.

I think yous should be able to remove most of the pointy bits of the dizzy poking into the firewall..Just remove cap and apply hacksaw to the rest, making sure to keep the Hall pickup bit intact.

u could use a number of coil setups with megasquirt u can use dtock dizzy as a crank angle sendor like this http://forums.club4ag.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=132260

thats what im doin u can use gze coils or mazga coil/ignitor or u can use a edis or any workable ignition setup with the megasquirt im using a megasquirt 1version 3

I have just put in a blacktop in my AE86, and i have just removed the rotor and cap, then there is no problem, with that.

This is not the hardest part to make room for, that is the water, that is comming out the back!!, this is sticking a fair bit longer out.

Get on to Rawengineering.co.uk they put the 20v into kit cars and have done a few twinners as well they wer very helpful to me & stageoneimports do a very neet but expencive coolant rerouting pipes
