20v silvertop change
I currently have a 4AGE 16v running ITB's, it died last weekend so I am going to change for a silvertop. I not worried about wiring as I run a stand alone ECU so should be pretty straight forward.
Is there anything I need to know before I start regarding , clutch, flywheel etc. Where do you get parts for the silvertop, cam belt, oil filter etc are these the same as the 16 valve. PS: I will be selling a complete set of ITB's on T3 maifold, just taken off a perfectly running car, anyone interested pm me, I will be putting a post in the buy/sell section soon. silvertop items are available trough the toyota dealer. Also you can get them trough ebay.
How did you arrange spark ? As this is on a diffrent location on a silvertop. Also the waterlines are diffrent. You will need to adjust the way the waterlines run. I will just be using the same method as on the 16 valve, I have a trigger wheel and CPS for my ECU.

The blacktop is a few hundred quid more expensive and has only a few more hp, also the hp is moved further up the rev range. It will be installed in a 700kg MG midget so the silvertop should be enough.

besides dump is some diffrent cams and you will surpass the blacktop with ease. And the invesment will come to the same price as a blacktop engine.

Make sure you get the pilot bearing for the crankshaft as well.
