In terms of engine design I doubt a 16V 4AGE would even stand a chance against a SR18DE.
And looking at the specs of an M60B30 I think the same applies to that engine as well, so I'd say why don't you try it! Besides all that IMO a "free" engine is always better than one you have to pay for. 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

sounds sweeeeeeet...
recommend you do a bit of research 1st. Calculate mass differences so you can try to compensate with stiffer front suspension. Btw... BEST(imho) V8 swap into an AE86..... It is known as a Hartley V8 Hartley specs page Wrote:SPECIFICATIONS H1V8: The highlighted part is important for ANY engine in an AE86(or xE7x as well) Dan - You can | .... OR you can ask for help!!! Dry weight:
4A-GE = 120kg / M60 = 203kg T50 = 27kg / Getrag = 35 - 40kg Total difference around 100-110kg, once you include bigger exhaust, fuelpump, etc. HP...jump from 120 to approx 200 or 8.3kg/hp to 5.5kg/hp Balance jumps from 51F/49R to 55F/45R Basically you create your own version of the E30 A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |
