4AC block with 4AG head
I know this is possible. I think. What generation 4ag head can I use? I know ill have to do something about the exhaust. Ill keep it carbed, for now. Cna I just rip the head out of an AE92 and put it on my SR5?

4AC block with 4AG head
Yeah Ive researched this on CLub4AG, its possible. I just dont know if it be quicker to swap engines...because I dont want to decommission my car for a few days, even though its not my daily driver
I heard that Id need the 4AG internals and a 4AG gasket although I heard someone say they were the same.... Sniper ----------------------------- 1986 Toyota Corolla SR5 1989 BMW 535i 1986 Volvo 740 GLE ----------------------------- |

Yeah, if the internals need to be changed then I would say it would be quicker to do a engine swap with the 4AGE....and you prob would get more power.
It would be interesting to see a conversion like what your talking about, though. I once read that you shouldnt believe everything you read. |

The belhousing is NOT a problem.
You can also use 4AFE internals - widely available, not weaker than early 4AGE ones - the crank will match your 4AC flywheel. You must check carefully CR and valve-piston clearances. |

So I can use a 4AGE with my SR5 transmission?
When I do find a 4AG engine, ill keep it carbed, then maybe later get the EFI goin'. if thats possible Sniper ----------------------------- 1986 Toyota Corolla SR5 1989 BMW 535i 1986 Volvo 740 GLE ----------------------------- |
