Some pics. I change the USA instrument cluster with an European instrument cluster. Now i have km and not miles.

In my youtube acount there are some new videos of small trips but this is a good video to listen the engine.
Notes 1'30" and from 3'30" i stopped the music. There are some handbrake actions. The rev limit was 4000rpm and in some case max 4500rpm.
The cam is from a mobilephone and it was between seat and headrest of co-driver place.
I cant understand how can the engine works when my engine has oxygen sensor while the AE86's ecu has variable resostor and not oxygen sensor!

Hurray! Happy new year Hurray!
Im thinking to fit again the stock camshafts and the stock under bucjket shims, so the stock head. I decided something like this because i cant find and find an ecu standalone this moment.
BUT, ll my engine work fine with the stock ecu? The CR is 11,3/11,5:1.
Also im thinking to find some camshafts 256 or 264 with 7,9 lift. ll work the engine work fine with stock engine?
Thx a lot.

I think you won't have any problems running your engine with 11,3-11,5:1 CR.
But be sure not to have your ignition more than 8-10degrees (set with the chenk engine "jumper" in) and you should buy as high octane fuel as you can.
Anyways, did you measure the CR with fluid or you just think that its 11,3-5??
I'm surprised about your engine runs so great with the stock ECU and that huge big cams!
But for sure you could run safer with 256/264 cams.

There are some things I saw now.
Do you use "full flow" oil cooler setup with the original oil cooler? It is not really recommended, the factory oil cooler is just a "bypass" thing, it can't handle the pressure of the engine, and the full flow setups should have at least 10mm (13mm recommended) inside diameter everywhere (stock oil cooler has about 5-6mm).

Other thing is I think your timing belt is too much tensioned. Your engine is "whining" because of that. Try to loose it a little bit and it will sounds better.

Thx mate for your reply.
Im running the engine ONLY with BP ultimate and Shell racing so with 100oct and i think the racing is better because the car run and the sound is better than ultimate.
The CR 11,3:1 is from TODA data of the pistons when using stock headgasket.
so 256 in and 264 out?

About the engine, im suprised too because im using an ecu of ae86 w/o oxygen sensor while my ecu (celica fwd) is with oxygen sensor and not variable resistor like ae86.
So my enginehas O2 sensor while the ecu no!
My check engine "give" 8-9 problem. What is that?

I fitted the ae86's ecu on my harness (celica fwd) w/o check the wiring, pins ect. Simply i fitted it on my harness!!!

Hi,
I advise you to measure the compression ratio with fluid because you can't tell if your head was milled off a little before..

256/264 cams you can use any mix Smile it depends on what kind of power you want. but with your CR 264/264 could be OK as well.

I'm not really OK with electronics, you should find the fault codes in the manual.

You should find the pins for your harness/ECU also becaurse 100% there are some differences!

How much compression has to be my engine with the high compression pistons and the cams?

The cams has nothing to do with the compression...

Are you sure?
Big cams can lower dynamic compresion due to the overlap between exhaust and intake phase. I cannot serve with exact rates. I would mechanicaly measure static ratiowith fluid, choose cams, its all about tuning then. Ask Apardal for more.
But as Zdoman says 11,3 with 264 cams looks common
