4age 16v 1st and 2nd generation cams and not only difference

hello mates
i own an ae92 hatch gti (eupopean specs) 2nd gen engine 3/1988
i believe that i have the 232 degrees cams that on of the basic difference from the 1st gen 4age.
i know that i have the piston with 10.1 compression cause i have rebuilded the motor recently....

so my question is the 1st gen was more powerfull with the 240 cams?

not really..... a lot of it it has to do with dynamic compression ratio... some call it "trapped compression"

Note how toyota did not evenly change the cam timing, but they removed 7 of the 8 degrees from the point the intake valve closes.

so i try to figure out....in my engine that is properly rebuilded with compression about 10.6 , a new free flow exhaust system a better air intake filtering system,an 20v header ,european specs, if i install the 240 cam , will i gain more power?

P.S

The blutop 1st gen was performing the same power with 2nd Gen tvis ae92 engines?
