4age 16v oem ecu rev limiter research
i know the old 1983 zenki ecu's revved to about 8200 rpm before hitting the limiter. Though I wonder what use you have for that. even with my different cams max power was reached before 7k.
About Ron, he did a lot of custom work to the engine. Fabricated the inlet and everything himself. He did calculate everything in the engine resulting in to that massive power amount. Freedom ecu board into a stock casing might be worth considering. You'd have total control over everything but it would still hook up to the original loom / connectors.

Any ECU will do, as long as it uses OEM connector and wiring.
It doesn't have to be in OEM case. If you ever get "scrutineered" they will unhook your custom ECU and put OEM. If your car starts and idles (even "rough as hell" will do) you are OK. These are Gr. N propisitions, not sure about Gr.A but it can only be same or even more liberated. Btw. I'm using VEMS in Motronic 2.x case with JPT-55 connector and complementary wiring. All taken from Alfa Romeo 155. Wired PCB to JPT-55 and made few changes to harness and 4AGE is working like a charm.
