AE86 5th gear too big RPM can be customized ?

Hi guys i need some explanation i see that there is only maybe 200rpm difference between 4th and 5th gear on typical AE86 GT T50 transmission can that be customized to maintain lower RPM because when driving on highway it is just too much. In my case i drive not so speedy only around 100-110km/h enjoying the ride but in 120km/h for example you just have 4000rpm in my case.

You can change the input shaft ratio. The 5th gear is an overdrive gear and will be taller when you make the gearbox close ratio:

i knoçw that the compagny REVOLVER in Japan make a long ratio for the 5th gear.
But i can't get a link sorry.

Why not fit a 4.1 crown wheel and pinion to your rear end , as your car will have a 4.3 from factory. I fitted a 4.1 to one of my road cars and it was very good to drive on the open road and around the city.

Changing the fial drive will be the easiest and cheapest way to go.

You can also change the ratio of your gears.
