When do you need a FPR (Aftermarket)
Hi guys,
I need to know with my 4agze with stock injectors (I guess) if I need a aftermarket FPR??? (Fuel pressure regulator) I have ordered a QSP 160 lph fuel pump as I am running a little bit more boost with the upgraded crankshaft pulley. I think I am around 170bhp with the 1st gen 4agze (originally 145bhp) So upgrading to that 160lph fuel pump should be a step in the right direction. What else would I need? Or what could make it all run better... (to preserve the engine as i am also drifting etc.). -DWG- Drift Wolf Gaming |

If you are not making any changes to:
- engine (cams, valves, pistons...) - or map - or injectors you should not change FPR. |

Okay - in the future I will get 4age cams into the 4agze! Cheap upgrade!

Won´t need one for your current setup, but if you go get it mapped with the mods to come, a FPR comes handy for setting a the fuel pressure and maybe get that little bit extra fuel out of your injectors by running higher pressure.
Make sure you get one for turbo/ SC cars as you need the rising fuel pressure with rising boost pressure. 1979 Toyota Corolla KE35 1983 Toyota Corolla AE86 1985 Toyota Corolla AE86 |
