Right, some things I did:
I moved the side indicators into the citylight housing: ![]() ![]() And checking to see if it works: ![]() ![]() I broke of a plastic hosepipe, so that meant more work. I made a new one from aluminium: ![]() ![]() I was told the original AE86 reverse light sensor would fit in the Aisin 6 speed gearbox, but guess what, more work..... ![]() Almost all windows are in the car now, only the left rear side window needs to be placed, it was not to my liking the first time around. I also algined the doors and I wrapped the b pillar flat black: ![]() ![]() ![]() Front window is in, it has two seperate sides heated, it's a rallycar version. ![]() |

Ohh, and here is one window that got away......
![]() One of the last things to be done is the airbox, which is alot of work. I myself think a panel filter is always better than a mushroom one, so I asked a friend to build me one. These is what he came up with: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Placing the maf sensor is pretty critical for a BEAMS, and getting a housing for the sensor is difficult aswell.
I finally got my hands on a original filter housing, and used parts of it for my own airbox. I wanted hear the engine running again so I hooked it up like this, but it wouldn't run stationary: ![]() Above a 1000 rpm though it ran like a dream ![]() But back to the box: ![]() ![]() And yesterday I had it welded up: ![]() ![]() ![]() Now it is back at my friends place to be finished, he will be making a labyrinth inside for better airflow and low turbulance at the maf sensor. |

One more thing I did is reroute the loom on the engine.
It was not how I wanted it to run so I needed to change. Plus I used vulcanizing tape now, so it looks alot nicer too ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() And an overal view as it is now: ![]() |

About the airbox: does it offer easy access to the panel filter? I can imagine it being a pain to dissasemble the whole box from the car every time you need to change filters.

McKenney,
Yes I have, still need to make pictures. ![]() Ivan, The top half of the box comes off like a regular airbox, so relative easy access. ![]() |

Right, the ecu needed a place to stay, but it was 1.5 times bigger than the 4age one.
A bracket was needed: ![]() ![]() ![]() The heater fits in it's original position, no pics yet of that, but I'm satisfied. ![]() I always disliked the lock on the feultank door, so I purchased a nice cable assembly from Mr McKenney. Now I can open the boot and tank door from the inside! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
