Carbs: would this work ?
Twin 45DCOE carbs + standard ecu with vacuum setup for MAP sensor and TPS sensor fitted to carbs.
Could I use the injectors as well so the carbs act like throttle bodies.... or is there something blindingly obvious I have overlooked ?

I have seen an engine go boom that way. Reading was incorrect and the engine revved over 9000. Wouldn't do it like that. Just get some itb's from a 20v

I did It like that and I recommend it, I just removed the insides of the carbs and blocked all the holes, adapted the tps, and built a vacuum tank, But like all itb's, it didn't work good on stock ecu.

Just an idea .. for a inlet plenum so you can take an equalised reading across all 4 runners - why not use a spare fuel rail. Almost perfectly suited for this. 5 holes already there and just seal off the 1 remaining one. Neat and compact, and has spare bolt joles to fit it to the block.

Hi Mate, yes it is .. finally, came down to either a faulty igniter or the O2 sensor pulling the timing.

Using the carbs as throttle bodies is a very good idea, you just need to make sure that you wont get any vacuum leaks past the carb throttle plates.

Map will be easy to set up, TPS will be trickier - also depends on the linkage set up you have on your Webers?

Are the carbs fully working? I can detail what I have done to get mine working off the stock ECU.
