Hashiriya, LOL, was he any lucky? I failed mot again today with unalligned headlights and damaged triangle... they keep finding new things to f$#% me up...
It seems my project isn't good enough for MOT porposes... Best regards |

WTF...they dare fail that car for MOT? I dont even have a triangle in my car (wish I did though, after last weeks experience on the freeway).
Aligning the front lights isnt exactly rocket science so they can sort that out fast enough. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

I would allign my headlights if the screws weren't screwed... i have to find another way to allign them! It's that or getting new headlights... and I really don't want to buy them new...
Just yesterday the upper moulding of the windscreen came off when driving on the highway... I ordered it new from Toyota after trying (with no sucess) to get the suckers that installed the windscreens to pay for it... Well... the bill is just getting bigger and bigger...  Best regards |

Dont worry too much...you say the headlight adjustment screws are messed up...I've had a similar problem on my current headlights..but there is a way around it.
Problem nr 1 was rust on all the screws...everything was jammed and didnt turno properly anymore...you can take adjusters of ae82's and try to use those to adjust it with, or just remove the adjustment system (which are only metal bars with a few gears at the end of them..) and then turn the little axles directly. Another problem I've had was when one headlight was shining upward.. One of the little plastic sockets for the balljoints that hold 2 corners of the reflector had broken. I replaced those with sockets from an ae82...which are exactly the same except for the colour. Hope some of this might help... FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |
