DK AE86 renovation and turbo project - Now driveable
Update:
Today I refreshed my front plastic lights. First I used some wet-sand paper. Then I polished it with lacquer cleaner. Using my "car polisher". After this I used a wax also with my "car polisher" and it actually turned out pretty fine. Here's some pictures of the lot, and the process. I also went out buying a new alternator... I sort of destroyed the old one trying to take it apart. I thought that it was the bearing that was tight on the axle, but it was actually the wires stuck on the back... So, that set me back about 150 euro. But now it's new and I certainly don't have to worry that it's this part that won't work. Thank you Buda.
I just wanted to show you guys what was delivered to me today. This year Christmas comes early! And yesterday I refurbished my starter, with new connecting plates and a cylinder. Works like a charm It turned out that the old ones wasn't that bad, but at some point some oil from the inside of the housing must have run out on the terminals. Thus preventing a good connection. I just have a little update.
Seems like the paint shop suddenly had an order which jumped the line, and now have top priority. So I'll have to wait for the chassis to get home. And then I found a set of Raceland seats, at a price which I couldn't refuse. So I went on and bought them today. I hadn't planned upgrading the seats, but this really was an offer you don't pass on. But see for yourself. Regards Lars Veiss, Denmark Currently |

Hate to be negative, but I'd hardly call raceland seats an upgrade. Not the exactly good quality seats (although I have seen momo seats that I wouldnt recommend either).

I sure get your point, but then again, with the original seats I am in possession of, this IS an upgrade. And let me again state that with the price I had these for, I couldn't even buy a Momo seat-rail... But let me assure you, that when I really want a bucket seat, it'll surely not be a recline able one. And not in this price range. But sadly I am on a budget, and the car will not be racing spec'ed. yet. robokill Thank you. And as for mine it's 23 I think Regards Lars Veiss, Denmark Currently |

Hello.
I've been very busy assemling this week. And now I had a little time on my hand, so I will just give you some pictures of the finished paintjob and the car assembly process. I'm very happy with the result. Regards Lars Veiss, Denmark Currently |
