Dieter from Belgium
Hello,
My name is Dieter, i am 26 years old and i live in Belgium. My current car is a 106 gti. I have always admired the ae86 because one of my uncle's used to have a levin coupé. We would always drive with the car around just because we both loved the car. I would get the car for my 20th birthday, but 5 day's before that a truck drove into the back and the levin was gone The plan is to learn about the ae86 thanks to the manual's on the site. Meanwhile save enough money so i will be sure that i can maintenance the car the proper way. |

Thanks
Not sure yet, first plan is to save enough money so i don't have to sell the car again. Quicker than expected i found a ae86 only 25 km from my home, its so tempting that i will check it out . Alldo its a former group n rallycar and this could mean trouble for the chassis. Anything special i should look out for apart from the standard rally issues.(bumps in floor,dropels?english,..) And what are the most common rust places i should lookout for?(weel arches, spare wheel trunk, begin lights,bottom,...?) |

another place to check is in the enginebay where the chasisrails join the firewall. Also around the windscreen amd check the roof for buckling (I have a slight dent close to the B-pillar due to exessive chassisflex) - less common on cars without sunroof.

Pictures don't work . I get this message :
