Digital Tacho/Speedometer

Hi guys... just a question here... I am just a newbie and wondering about this electronic/digital tacho/speedometer on AE86 dashboard.
This digital thing is from which batch of AE86? Originally from which year/model/batch of AE86?

It was originally delivered with the AE86 as an option in Japan. Afaik it was available during all production years.

Only thing you need to beware of is that there were digidashes for the Carina, Celica and Celica Supra as well. They look almost identical but do not fit the AE86.

Thanks anyway... I don't plan to swap my meter/dash its just that I wonder since I got my AE86 complete with this digital meters and the car is 1984 model so I was thinking whether this set is originally with the car or the previous owner convert it from the analog.

Does the VIN start with an E? If so your car is produced in Japan and thus very probably with a digidash from factory.

Yeah make sure that you get the fuel sender unit from the JDM car to get it to work.
