Disassemble rear axle
@ivan, hehe well this was probably just a sales guy or something, usually when you talk to one of the mechanics they help out alot. Or maybe the toyota dealer where I checked just sucks.
I haven't installed that catagolue, will do. @Jon, need to get that vin number tonight, will also post it in the earliest car page Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |

Disassemble rear axle
I tried to disassemble rear axle last week with special made tool. I was using a sliding hummer with custom made adapter with two wholes for wheel bolts. As you can see on this few pictures. It works. No BIG hummer needed

Disassemble rear axle
I would advise to weld on some rings to attach a rope to the weight on the slide hammer. Pulling that metal cilinder really fucks up your hands in the long run. The rope also makes it easier to whip the weight faster.
I got the axles out of my axle by beating on the hubs using a large hammer and solid piece of wood to cushion the blows. Took me about 30 minutes of hammering to get one axle out..damn garage put in liquid gasket or loctite between the bearing and axle surfaces. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |
