Work equip 01 max offset??
Hey all,

Well I thought I would waste some money and buy myself some 01's for my AE85

Now the problem I have is what offset can I run?? (to give me the biggest dish I can...yes, I am a dish *hore)
Ive searched and searched and searched, and everyone seems to say that some will fit, then some say the exact wheels wont fit, so I am totally lost again lol.

I dont want flares, or aftermarket guards. Lipping is the only thing I want to do.
Suspension wise at present is only lowering springs. I guess/know that I will have to get some camber plates, and maybe some NCRA's? (or just RCA's?)

Im thinking of running 15 x 8 (o-disk) on the front, and 15 x 8 or 8.5 (o-disk) on the rear.
what offset can I go up too???

Cheers

Well the easies thing to do is to measure your current wheels and see how much space you have left. Pay attention to tiresize etc as this will change space requirements too pending how much stretch you run etc...
The common saying is that 8"ET0 fit flush up front and back on stock arches.
But as mentioned before measuring your exact setup or fitting a same width/offset wheel is the only way to be sure.

I have 15x8 et 0 on the front and there ok, on the rear i used another 5mm spacer and its still not really close as id like so maybe try 8.5 et 0 or even a 9j wheel IMO. Tyres will be key to do you want stretch ofr not ? i use a mild stretched 195/45/15 on my wheels.

Cheers guys.
Yea, not 100% sure on the wheels that are on the car at present lol. They measure between 7.5" and 8" (guessing they will be 7.5's)
All the markings on the back of them are long since gone too lol.

I do like a little stretch! Nothing OTT like in Japan. But was thinking of running 195's on the wheels to give a little stretch look.

Do you have a pic of your car Lewy?

These arn't the wheels on there now but the fronts with spacers are effectivly 15x8 et0 (et30 with 30mm spacer)

If the rears where to the same spec as the fronts they would be sitting 30mm further out but would still be (in my eyes) 20mm shy of being perfect hence why i suggest you go for a 9j on the rear with a 0 offset.

If i was buying new wheels i would go with 14's but if i was to get 15's id get the same widths and offsets so for the front id be looking for 8.5j with an offset around -10 and rear 9j with a similer offset of around -10 to -15. Id then run 195/45/ tyres all round and do some serious arch work but thats just me i like a lot of stretch and hard fitment . Cool
