Doc's KE20: - really coming together now
found a DCOE manifold, so i can fit my DCOE carbs instead of the IDF carbs!
Need to sort out another type of linkage tho, because my gascable 'pulls' and the webers need to be pushed open (the linkage will hit the manifold if i want them to be pulled open) Also try to make a deal about these thingies I haven't started yet with building the new engine. I've got everything ready for it now. But i need some sst's for it, and some time. And ATM the BMW just pulls my attention for some reason "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |

lol... screw the bmw... do you want to drift the sh*t out off the bmw or do you want to hear the 4k revving at 8k rpm with dubble Webers on it?
I reject your reality and substitute my own! No more Panda.. Tricolor bastard! If it 'aint broke, fix it 'til it is |

Yeah man..dont spend too much time on the bimmer..it's already finished.
This engine will be loads of fun! About the throttle push-pull problem, cant you reverse the linkage? Otherwise a kind of pivot arm/disk might do the trick.. connect the original cable at the bottom, and the push-lever on the other side, and make sure it can turn around something in the middle. I would advise against that kind of stuff though.. simpler is better. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

i think i'm going for this kinda set-up for the linkage:
That'll work for sure And the Bimmer needs some TLC before it's ready to hit the roads "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |

Today it was time to go on with the 4K.
I could borrow some SST's from the local Toyota garage, so i could fit my valves easier. At first the valves and seats needed a little grind: Then all this had to be fitted... ...with this kinda tool 1 valve ready, 3 with valveseals and 2 empty valve guides ready to fit the retainers: ready: Testfitted the rockers (they need to come off to get the lifters installed when the head is on the lower block): Started with 'deuglying' the valve cover "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |

Found and bought a 6" TRD 2Way LSD. The previous one i've bought was wrong, because i made a mistake with the size of my R&P. This one is the right one! Can't wait "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |

will do whenever it's here and installed.
I'm planning on doing a Driftpractice day with it once (maybe try to get my licencse in this car in stead of the BMW ) I could get good vids there It can drift just fine w/o the LSD (whenever the circumstances are good that is ). I managed to keep it sideways for a while (like 10+ rounds ) on a roundabout once, never thought i could do that with a underpowerd, open diffed car But it really needs good shocks to get better (Koni Yellow would be nice ) "It's all about the heart, the people who focus on parts, turbo's and all that stuff...they're just losers." -Shinji Minowa |
