RE: Door lock disassemble
I have tried to disassemble my door locks on my Carina as they were getting stuck in the open position. I got as far as you did and decided not to tear them apart further. The small clips (called snaps in the Toyota EPC) are quite expensive so I kept them as is and lubricated the lock. I've put a bit of silicone spray on the gliders and that improved my issue.
You can still order these small plastic snaps separately. I think their partnumber should be 69759-20070 or 69759-20080 or 69759-20090 for the AE86. 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: ![]() |
