Click in steering column?

Anyone know where this sound is coming from? I already opened the hub cap to check if the wheel bearing nut is tight enough. When I move the wheel center like on the video you hear a click first. It's quite enjoying when driving non tarmac streets. I thought about the steering rack, but when I move the steering wheel there is some free play, but the click doesn't come up, so it happens only when movement is coming from the wheel. Any suggestions?

Look at your balljoints while your doing this..you should be able to spot any movement in them. If its moving near the rack your inner ball joint might be worn.
To rule out your wheel bearings, grab your wheel at the 12 and 6 o clock positions and repeat the test. If it's clicking in that direction it's the bearings that are gone.

Maybe try it without the wheel on.
