Extra electric fan in ae86. How to?
Hello!
I want to install extra electric fan for better cooling radiator. But how to do it? What side to mount it? It should be blowing fresh air TO radiator, or hot air FROM the radiator?

If you mount it in front of the radiator, then it needs to blow air through the radiator to the engine. Another option is to find yourself a radiator shroud so the mechanical fan can work more efficiently.

With an electric fan, you don't need the engine fan.

Just remove the original and enjoy the power gain!

And this new fan should be installed the same way the stock one is. Between the engine and the radiator, blowing air to the back of the car.

Best regards

Viscous coupling fans reduce throttle response, so it's a good idea to switch to electric.

They don't work well in reverse direction, so use a PULL type fan. There's enough space in there for 2 smaller fans, which work better too. You can also wire a switch from the dashboard to the electric relay(s), so the fan won't only work when the thermo switch comes on (Mine comes on from 90 Deg C), but permanently whilst the switch is on - this is especially useful for drifting, when you'll be spending quite a lot of time sideways where air isn't flowing well through the radiator, naturally.
Also, if you shroud and oil cooler well against the radiator, the fan(s) will help pull air through that too. Thumbs up!

I use a this type Datsun Cherrys fan, and I put it this way. So it is same way that it is in originally in Datsun, and now it blows air through radiator.

Hmmm. 2 fans is not necessary, one puller fan is all that is needed for proper cooling. A pusher fan with your stock fan seems like overkill.
