Hey Guys, I'm a US Soldier stationed in Germany, and getting ready to have my ae86 shipped over here from the states. Been here a while, and been debating having it shipped over, and finally caving in. I have an SR5 ~> GTS Swap, with a carbureted 20v Engine. All the work was done by myself and my buddy Ian back in Florida. I'm not sure how many carbureted fans there are on this site, but maybe there's one or two others who have carbureted their 20v's Wink The car is far from done, as all corollas are a work in progress.. but it runs strong, and sounds mean hitting 9 grand revs. Anyhow, I hope to get to talk to some of you all, and see what other cars are out there.

TE71Corolla on this forum has a carbed 20v car if I remember it correctly.
Maybe you can come to the Netherlands some time this summer, there's bound to be a drift competition day where you could meet up with some of the guys..Wouldnt it have been a better idea to just buy a german coupe? Although there arent many germans on this forum (english is a problem for a lot of germans I guess), there are plenty levin coupe's out there...and they know how to make them fun to drive too.
Anyway, dont be a stranger around here when you get your 86 to germany...i'm sure there will be a couple of opportunities to meet up with fellow 86 drivers..

I'll post a couple of pictures here, and more in the projects section later. They are dual webers, obviously by the pictures.. These pictures were taken shortly after everything was up and running, so don't mind the mess please Tongue

As for the duty station question, I'm stationed in Grafenwoehr, Germany. It's in Bavaria, about 45 minutes from the czech border. Near Widen, Nurenburg, Amberg.. Why didn't I just buy a german AE86? Well, I've had a hard time finding them on the autotrader sites, and I don't speak german well-enough to ask around and find one. Shipping from the states to here is free for me, just have to wait 4-8 weeks for it to get here. I don't have a problem with waiting considering it's free Wink

Dasota,

If shipping is free, how about getting some more stuff overWink I guess there are irritating rules to abide to..

Car looks nice man, You could have cleaned the engine bay a bit when the engine was out thoughWink
