Getting rear discs off ...
Went to change my rear discs and pads and the disc's were welded to the hubs. Had this in the past with other cars and a good wallop with a mallet normally shakes the disc free but no such luck this time.
Looks like I may need to use my puller (didnt have it to hand). Is it common for the AE back brakes to be this stubborn? Am I missing a trick here before I go crazy on it and do some damage? On rear discs you have two little holes.
Find proper screw and screw iz in it. Dics will go off. Screw slowely first and then second and then first.......... Don't ruin your discs by forcing too much on one screw. 1984 AE 86 Levin hatchback 1989 AE 92 GTi 2004 Kawasaki KLE 500 CROATIA - small country for great drift |

Cool thanks fellers,
Thought as much but didnt have a suitable bolt. If I had all my tools on me I would have just used my crank pulley puller. Going to screw that onto each side of the disc and pull it out straight. Should avoid any further hammering. http://www.eight-six.co.uk - read the blog! UK AE86 Forum - http://www.phpbber.com/phpbb/index.php?m...ghtsixcouk |
