Are OEM bumpers the same both on Levin and Trueno? Mmh no, Levin one are "lower", right? Converting a Levin to Trueno, the body part on the sides of the hood (the plate above front guard welcoming front direction indicators) must be replaced too? Is there a step by step guide or something? (03-29-2018 06:26 AM)Bean Wrote: 5k but that was roughly 10 years ago for a good condition low mileage one Good deal! I read posts dating back to 2012 where it was spoke about 10k at least for cars in non-good condition |

Hail to all
Swapping is simples.
You will need. Hood, two fenders, Bumper. Two relays, some wiring and Trueno headlight switch. |

But how about "front wings"? Can you post some photos of your AE86?

Hail to all
Welcome.
Quote:Wait, when I say Trueno I mean all Corolla AE86 versions (GT-S, RS5 and other?), as named when exported from Japan, with pop-up headlights Tongue AE88 VIN was an 'american' only thing though. Alot of people seem to think that all lhd models are AE88's. I always cringe when i see that, no offence. ハチロク |

Did i already tell you that I envy you?! ;p Thanks for the info I make use of your willingness to know if it's confortable for everyday use: is it loud from the outside, little soundproof from the inside, unconfortable seats, little room trunk, fuel consumption, etc...? Bumpers are getting a bit hard to find.... Can you lead me to such shops? |

“Yahoo auctions” for smaller bits. I bought a complete set of new doorhinges there for the price of one hinge from the dealership.
I use mine as daily driver (stock 16v). Fuel consumption is ok for an old car. ハチロク |

Hail to all
Thanks, you are really kind.
I'd say you convinced me so I'll edit again the original posts There's still the matter of finding one at good price. Not just that, I need to lower the price limit due to future swapping What can you say about the other parameters (noise emission, interior soundproof, etc...)? Maybe you can compare it to other vehicoles you had/drove. |
