Using a different diff in an AE86

Hi All,
Is there a diff from another model of Toyota that will fit the AE86 rear end.
I've heard that the Celica has a similar diff

There are indeed celica's with the same differential.. late 70's early 80's models if I'm not mistaken.
TA/RA model codes I think.

anything with a t code diff will fit, I had a TA22 diff for a while. Only difference is that the celica diffs have 10 short studs while the AE86 has9 short and 1 long one.

Also you can get Corolla diffs from Legend race car suppliers... but you MUST ask for them not welded! New gears, with new bearings, pre mounted for $460

Thanks guys looking at the type of Celica I think it would be harder to locate a read diff for a TA/RA than an AE86. I've sent 600 Racing an email asking a few questions.
