i have i high idle on my engine and I'm talking about 1800-2000 rpm, and I'm sure that the Idle Air Control valve doesn't work, is there any way that this can be blocked so the engine can come back to a normal idle ...? and if so how can i fix this problem ?

Go inside the throttle body and find the idle air port. Its just in front of
the throttle butterfly at about 5 o'clock. Block the hole temporarily with
a rubber plug or even your finger (for testing). If the idle drops by
1000 rpm, then your thermostatic idle-up valve is stuck wide open (if
the idle only drops by 100 rpm, the problem is elsewhere).

You can block it off permanently and put up with poor cold starting and a
rising idle, or fix/replace the valve.
