Luckily the bias installer was generous with the cable length so I didn't have to pull it out.

So, should I get a sticker to put over it? Or a MPH fascia? Who does that over here?

Just looking at the handbrake. Is a fly off type going to be a problem? Will they be happy with internal braided lines?

the original fascias are two pieces, though I doubt you'll find someone selling you just the mph bit. Your best chance is to find someone in UK or Ireland to sell you one of their clusters and put it in.

Not entirely sure on UK law but I though the fly off type is legal as long as you can secure it in the pulled status. Braided line should be fine I guess.

Someone from the UK will be better to answer that.

You'll need at least a temporary fog light at the back to pass the MOT.

The hand brake will probably need the cables installed to pass the MOT test.
No problem with the braided brake lines, inside or outside.
What do you use the car for ?

Well, I actually haven't used the car for anything yet. Bought it last year as a very very safe car for my missus to drive to maybe get her interested in coming along to some events but moved to London before I was able to get it finished and didn't want to part with it. A bit of a 1 in a Million shell that I couldn't pass up. There are whispers of 'gee, that could buy us a new bathroom and kitchen if you sold it' but I drove it home from Tilbury and the smile on my face had other thoughts ............ The sooner I get it on the road, the more Brands laps I can do before it's put on the chopping block.

As has been mentioned, I believe the handbrake has to work independently of hydraulic action to pass an MOT.
Being an emergency brake, it has to be usable in case of line rupture/fluid loss.
If it's plumbed in to standard rear calipers, see if you can find yourself an OEM handbrake and cable set and offset your hydraulic to keep its functionality.

This might sort out your dash "issue" but I just had a phone holder with GPS speedometer app, worked very well and you could set up speed warnings etc if you had a heavy right foot.

Hopefully a locking hydraulic handbrake will be ok as it will be a complete ball ache otherwise.

Took a couple of snaps of the calipers and I'm not sure what they are. Look kinda like Subaru?? Doesn't look like any other handbrake mechanism. They probably had a drum brake handbrake???

Depends how friendly your MOT man is I think.
Some still don't allow locking hydraulics (fluid failure still possible), in that case, I think you might have to look at a Spot caliper from Hispec or Wilwood etc as the Z33 used Drum in Disk handbrake.

Looks like yours has had a pretty penny spent on it looking at the rear end setup

If hydraulic failure is an issue, then maybe it will be ok as the front and rear may be separate?

Looking at it, it might fall under the "limited use/specialist" MOT regs.
I'm not sure what it entails but it's to essentially relax the regs for cars that are quite clearly not "road cars" per-se but feature basic lights and safety features to enable it to be used on the roads.

Best bet, is to find a local tester and ask him about it, buy him a case of beer - might struggle to find VB here though
