Installing 4AGZE in AE86
@Veiss: the supercharger just needs to be rotated a bit to get it out of the way; at most a new bracket to be fabricated... what says the ECU to the TB being after the SC , and what about the other sensors and bypasses?

Installing 4AGZE in AE86
XJS:
I can't tell you what has been done to the ecu, but I can try taking some pictures of it unassembled, but it's going to be a couple of weeks before it's possible. I have also soldered a diode (I think) on a cable to the MAP sensor. I'll post pictures of the lot when I have the oppertunity. PetzK: Have you seen such a conversion, I havn't, and I would like to see one if you got link or pics. I don't think it's as simple as you say. "Not the best place, i agree. Just above the exchaustmanifold..." Hehe, no that's just plain stupid to do that... It would be just a bit smarter, if there was a scoop in the hood... If it can sit there as it does, it can sit as stock in AE82. Its just a question of making the correct intake. I think ill give it a go, mounting the IC as stock. Cant see why it shouldnt be possible, its just a small fabrication of brackets.

i think knudsen ideia is not so bad
as placing a scoop in my AE86 is out of question (i think is ugly) i'm planing to have the "original" top mount at least for a while.. and i was thinking in an inprovised air duct from down and front.. and lifting the boonet a litle bit for the hot air extratcion.. this is not expensive as a "new" front mount intercooler set.. and it just might be enough for a stock gze -==SimRacing Portugal==- |

I think the guys who have experienced that theres no space for the topmounted IC, just have tryed to close the bonnit after installing the engine.
I have allready a strutbar, and it sits about 8-10 cm over the valve-covers. I dont know how thick a GZE IC is, but it cant be that much thicker than 10cm. Youtube Myspace and I´ll Google your Yahoo |

Yes i notice that... but i want to try it any way for 2 reasons (a bit less lag due to smaler pipes, and much cheaper)
i dont have the AA bar instaled yet.. but that top mount example (on the side so it can fit under the bar) might work if improoved.. i will try to make a nice air duct to avoid hot air from engine as much as possible..
