One will do fine for starters (now that I think of it, I donated a dubious cluster to you once, that would be a good option for experimenting).
We have to get in touch, I still need pick up my 86 stuff. Might as well combine some things. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

Ivan's coupe: bodywork is done
Haven't stood still this weekend, so here's the obligatory update:
Built myself a bit of reinforcement structure between my DIY turrets. Was a bitch of a job because I ran out of clean zincor plate to use. Had to resort to using a bit of cut up volvo 245 roof (plenty of metal there) which resulted in much time lost cleaning. First test fit, looks like it will work: Welded up: You can spot some bits of cardboard in the last pics where I will make some more gusseting to hide the ugly corners from sight a bit more. Had hoped to do those yesterday but I ended up spending the best part of 7 hours working on that single damn bit of plate. A hydraulic hole punch would be a blessing for making those flared holes. Good job mate, it should have a bit of that Volvo indestructableness about it now.
What is the next big job? |

Next small job is making those last few gussets for the rear and doing a proper repair to the right A-pillar where Bert made somer fucked up looking repair that is already showing rust coming from underneath.
Next and probably last big job is chopping the right rear wheelarch out, extending and fixing up the inner wheel well and welding in an escort arch. That's a 2-full-day job in my book, and one that I will be doing with a tear in my eye because there is nothing really wrong with that arch other that not being perfectly symmetrical to the other side that's already escort arched. After that it is mostly plain sailing, making reinforcements where I think they are necessary (jacking points anyone?), and some last little spots of rust. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |

nice ivan but what kind of truck suspension are you going to run on it? I mean you can add an axle with 500hp to that structure
