Just a car! ;-)
Oldskool prayed that i post my current project here. Of course I will grant his please!
The car what it´s all about is a VW Derby (type 86c) and i guess that not many of you have seen such car in real life. It build up on 3rd January 1983 in Wolfburg, the home of VW. It has a 1,05cc spark-ignition engine with 8 valves and increadible 40hp! I wanted to replace it with an 1,3cc g-loaded motor with 113hp...but i think it´s better to save the money for a eight-six! First i rebuild the engine by replace new gaskets, clean everything up and thinks like this. Then i sheeted a gearbox with 5...ehm...i don´t know the word for it, but i think you know what i mean! (Before i replace the motor into the car i give the gearbox a new paintjob!) In the next step i haul the wheel arches to make place for the new rims! That are ATS Classics...oldschool ones! Then i took all emblems and the bold from the back and clean it. Now i must open the hatch with a button in the car! ^^ For now it lookes like this: In the next few weeks i want to buy a undercarriage (correct word?) to take the car loooooow. The bitch must grind on the tarmac! So, i hope i get feedback! Greets, Roman! |

Back again I show you what´s new.
2 days ago I bought the rims. They looked a little bit mad, course nobody cleaned and polished them up for the last 2635years! So, there´s the effect of 2 minutes brushing and cleaning! Now I want to tack off the tires and give the rims to someone who fix the damage from the curbs! Then I polish them up at myself an gave them a new paintjob. See you next time, Roman |

Here I´am back again!
Before: After: One Rim took me about 10-12hours as they looked like this one! I maked all 4 with my hands...it was terrible...never EVER again! But I think it´s a good result! Now I wait for the paint...and wait...and wait. -.-" One litle question to the rims! What is the right choise concering the valve...or outlet for the rim?? Metal or durex (right word? )? A friend told me that metal ones can destroy the rim! Is that right?? Here are some parts I bought me the last days! Rare original Volkswagen indicator. ATS boss caps...which has the wrong size. If anyone need those just let me know it. My carriage! 80mm in the front, and 65 in the back!...lower of course! Aaaaand dome struts from Wiechers. Now I just need time to sheet the parts into the car. If you have an idea for improvement please let me know it. Greets Roman |
