KE70 Tuning Advice!

Hello

I Have bought a 2door 1980 Corolla KE70!!!
So It has 4speed that I need to change to a 5speed Maybe a k50?
or can i go with t50?

Will need power from the 4k-c so I saw someone here on the forum that he put a CBR900RR carbies on his engine.

Do you guys some advice for this? I will need a dual weber intake ?

And What about the rear axle? Something out there that is interchangable with a good LSD diff??
Wanna go sideways this winter and that is almost impossible with an open diff.

I am about to buy a 1980 Ke70 2door w 4k engine and 4 speed manual.
The question is - DOES THIS MODEL HAVE LEAFSPRINGS AT THE REAR!!!????
I want to do some ae86 conversions on it. Engine, tranny rear axle.

Help? I have searched for 2 day now. Don´t find the answer for this.

I would try and get more info from the Doctor... he used to have a highly tuned K-series. I had a normal one and we both had a lot of problems with em. Doc ripped it out and switched to a 2TG, I went with a 4A-GE. Guess you could do the latter easily by switching to AE86 running gear and AE7X X-member.

With cams, carbs etc on a K engine..you run a risk of ending up with something way unreliable. If you are dead set on following that path then I know of a tuned 4K engine selling on AE86irl for not too much money. That would easily be your cheapest option. Just needed a head AFAIK.

You can also start looking at 5K engines.. they were in some Toyota minibusses, had EFI en larger bores then the older engines. These weren't as down on power as the rest of the range.

I think the 4age but carbed would be nice Easier for me to get em here in sweden. And i am used to that engine
I will need the xmember from the ae86 right? Where to buy cheap
I am thinking of swapping the front suspension soon but hard to find the ae86 ones.
The suspension is very unstable right now.. Hate that :S
Can I use the ke70 prop shaft with the t50 ?
Is there a better gearbox as cheap as the t50 I can use?
