Guys,

My JDM Ae86 Levin 87 does not have LSD.

I just bought this on rinkya.com.

http://www.rinkya.com/twview.pl?URL=http.../e53769948

Will this be easy to install on my JDM AE86 without any other parts needed if nothing else is broken or so.

let me know,

Regards,

R

Hey Rishiras,

If your hachi doesn't have LSD I hope you have an axle that will fit an LSD. I dont know to much about axle types but only non-lsd axle I've seen so far is different.

Anyways, asfar as installing the LSD, from what I've heard its not hard to put it in, but it is difficult to adjust everything so the ring and pinion match up correctly. Better have a specialist do it or you may end up ruining your R&P within a short time..

oh ok, good
Forsure specialists will take of it.

I have some good toyota guys that do these all the time.

If there is a installation giude, or a giude to see to see if my axle is compatible feel free to send me links.

There is a difference in ringgear size between the GTS and SR5 axle. The GT axle has a 6,7 inch ring and the SR5 has something like 6,3 inch. The LSD housing is bigger then the open diff, so it might not fit if your rearend has the smaller ringgear. This is all just speculation though, we barely have sr5's in europe. If you want to know for sure, ask the guys on club4ag, where lots of people have SR5's.

Ivan, I've seen the SR5 axle, it wont fit. The question is if the europian non LSD axles are the same as american SR5 axles. For instance I've seen a russian hachi for sale a while back with rear disk brakes but no LSD.

Rishiras, do you have drum brakes or disk brakes in the rear?

I read an article "How to fit LSD to non-LSD GTS axle".
They just cut ~6mm from the halfshafts and insert LSD differential unit.

Ok I read all replies.

My question> This item what i bought is a AE86 LSD in japan used part.

Are there differences in Ae86 JDM LSD/rear axles as for LEvin or Sprinter.

This will ease up for me to see if possibilty is closer that it will fit or not.

Item has beeen bought, so i can not return item.even if does not fit.

I've taken a look at the translation of that auction, and I think it's probably a zenki LSD, which might not work with your car if it's a kouki model. The remarks about the condition of the item also dont look very impressive
