Lights not working. Help please
Hi guys,

In the hope that someone can help, my low lights do not seem to be working, along with my front fog lights and the outer tail lights. (The outer tail lights work when the brake pedal is pressed but not when the lights are on).

I've checked the fuses, and they all seem to be good. Is there one fuse that I should double check? (I checked them at night Undecided )

The headlights, brake lights and inner tail lights still work.

Anyone have any ideas?

The fact that it is a group of lights not worling suggests a fuse, have you checked all of the all the fuse boxes, engine compartment, passenger and drivers footwells ?

I'll have to check the passenger footwell, but I didnt think there were any fuses there apart from for the aircon and heater?!?

I would have thought it may be the stop tails, but they all seem fine.

and the headlights work.. I wonder what else it could be, could I have shorted something when I took my gauge cluster out?

mykkk,

On many cars its stock that when you turn your lights on that only 2 of the lights in the rear light up, when you press the brake all four light up.

There is a series of cars where all four lights ligth up when you turn your light on and then offcourse there are the people who convert them (I am still planning to). There is an old thread about that somewhere..

I'm not sure about your front fog lights.. I dont have fog lights at the front. Maybe check if they are even connected and not just there for the show? Maybe someone put them on afterwards...

Mux,

mine all worked before, so its definately a problem that happened just yesterday. My car is JDM so all 4 lights light up at the back.

Fog lights are the stock toyota ones, and they were connected also.

Will update u guys on my findings later today

Fixed!

It was because I had my gauge cluster surround off and the parking light button wasn't plugged in.

Everything is back to normal now...gg

Huh? Parkinglight button? Confused
Or do you mean the fuse? Dumb question

Good to hear it's working again! Smile

"Parkinglight button"=four corners blinking (here we call it "emergency lights")?

Not sure if its because my car is a trueno or because its JDM, but I have a button I can use if I park my car in a dark place. It lights up the outer rear lights and my front low lights.

Its on the gauge surround, a button with a "P" on it...

Thumbs up!
