Problem i have is when i drive my car norma its ok l but as soon as i put my foot down for a long period and and turn it off and try to start it again it doesnt go but m yignition lights go in but starter doesnt go .when i swing the key my lights goes dim and my dask clock goes dead then i must let it stand for a while before it will kick

can any one one tell me what it could be,as i cleaned the termainals and replaced the one checked all the cables ...

Sounds like the starter motor is getting heat soaked somehow..weird. I would suspect one of the main shaft bearings in the starter, but probably a lot more knowledgeable people will respond soon.

i checked the battery water and saw that one of the cells was low on acid water and filled it to the norm mark could this cause a problem

If you turn the key some times does finally start?
I had a similar problem and it was fixed with an inexpensive starter rebuilt..

It could cause it, but then you probably also have a starter motor which makes a half or one revolution and then dies. If that is the case, try to borrow a good battery from someone and try if that solves the problem. If not, then I think you have to look into this thread:

the ignition goes on but the starter does turn ..this only happens when i drive the car hard,but ignition on but not swing on the starter just my lights then dims out....

i filled up the battery acid water drove it hard and didnt do it again but will check later again....

I had the same problem with a dead battery once..so check that first.

Yup.... I'd go with the battery getting to the end of it's life theory !!
From memory, I believe that the output of an alternator is greatest at
low rpm and drops off at higher rpm. Combine this with sustained
high speed running and a tired battery, and you could get the situation
you describe.

Most batteries will recuperate to some extent after being run near flat.
Adding water should not make that much difference, unless the cell
was nearly dry... but you could get lucky As suggested above, check
with another battery to see if things improve.

ok i believe it is the starter charged battery which was 3months old so will replace or fix starter

If the battery is OK, then it is time to pull the starter out and get it
overhauled. Being a DC motor, you can have problems with worn or
sticking brushes, worn commutator, faulty segments etc. If it sucks
enough current from a healthy battery to turn the clock off, there will
be some arcing or burning happening somewhere
