Noise Insulation for AE86
Hello everyone!
As you might have read in my project thread, I think my 86 is a little on the noisy side, specifically the exhaust. Still, I quite like how it sounds on the exterior and it's nice inside the car too - just loud inside. To me it seems louder inside the car than outside. So here it goes: Where are the most efficient places to put sound insulation (foams, sheets, woven stuff, ...) in an AE86 to block out some of the exhaust noise? More specifically the mid range (~300 - 800 Hz)? I can't be the only one who isn't building a race car Oh, fun fact: Tires with one flat surface sound quite accurately like a podracer (previous owner must have stopped hard with locked wheels). Regards Decryphe |
