yeah, i often consider converting to trueno, had all the parts to do it before, but by the time you pay for all the panels, convert it and paint it, its still a 4ac s series rear end aussie spec, much cheaper in the long run to just buy a trueno.. which i will do at some point, really want a silver panda zenki gtv trueno, hard to find though so may settle with a white panda zenki instead..
anyway, continuation of the story! since the levin has an oil cooler and no grill bracket i decided to put the fogs on it casa on the sprinter Levinlookalike closer look at the levin agressive i love zenki levin lights digi dash the seats are so comfy together since i had the car out and i hadnt driven it i took it for a little spin up the road, that noise! after i bought the car i wanted to get on track asap, i found a guy who could no longer attend the morning session at queensland raceway so rang him and bought his spot now the clock was ticking, i knew the gearbox had issues, it wouldnt downshift so i had to change it, was given another t50 and a free trd short shift with it too I also needed to swap the front and rear sway bars and i also picked up a bolt in cage that came with the car at the same time got the car up in the air drained the box, removed driveshaft, unbolted box but it would not come off.. it was stuck to the point id swear id missed a bolt but i hadnt.. so after a few failed attempts i decided to call it a night after work the next day armed with daylight and a pry bar i managed to get it off but it was so tight! swapped crossmember and thrust bearing onto the new box and tried to put it in, after over an hour it still wasnt in everytime id get it up on the jack, at the right height, id try to slightly twist it to line it up and it would fall off, was losing patience.. luckily for me one of my flatmates friends was staying with us for a little while, he asked my flatmates what i was doing and after they told him he came down to give me a hand, godsend! was so much easier having two people lift it and wiggle it, was on within 10 minutes! relief.. so chucked the shifter back on, filled it with oil and took him up the road to make sure it was all good, he liked the car and was a bit shocked when i put it sideways, shifts so nice too got the front sway bar on and called it a night got home the next afternoon, the drift day was the next morning, got the rear sway bar in and swapped over the seat rail on the bride as it was a dodgy home made one with only two bolt holes then i tried to turn full lock, unfortunately the mesh hit on the body so i took the casablanca off the sprinter and put them on, still touched, got ahold of some 10mm spacers, still touched but only just.. so managed to get it all ready to go for the track, hired a ute, hired a trailer, went to load the car on at 1am.. argh! losing patience.. managed to find some wood around and was enough to get it on, finally, relief, its all ready to go.. after not much sleep woke up to a sad looking sprinter! but a pretty cool looking levin got on route to track! life long dream of track time about to come true arrived, signed in, bought queensland raceway licence, parked up and met a few 86 boys id been talking to online unfortunately the go pro i took malfuntioned so all i have are a few cellphone vids was my first time out so i was spinning a lot, but i was going hard! heres a driveby a few spins! getting a little better carrying a bit more speed and a couple corners from outside unfortunately my phone died earlier on, started to get the hang of it towards the end of the day, linked the whole track twice! going out again on the 30th so will make sure to get another go pro! we lined all the ae86s up at the end of the day for a group photo the rear left went down to belts as the high speed corners were all right handers, luckily it was 5 mins before the end of the day and a few photos that have popped up since the event and did a lot of this if you managed to read it all congratulations! haha more pics and vids after april 30th track day slpery.wordpress.com |

Thanks guys, my arches just had the inner lip rolled and they didn't fit, I wouldn't have been able to drive the car.. smaller tyres might have helped a little but would definitely need guard work for them to not rub

bought grill and gay lights cos excessively cheap
will sell lights to make grill free decided to sell 15s and accumulate 14s, put southern ways for sale, guy asked if id be interested in swaps for 14s, i said yeah and asked what he had to offer, dudes bringing in a container and started listing all these wheels and i was like fuck, want want want.. so did a deal, ill give him the southern ways and a bit (fair amount) of cash, ill get ssr riverside r101s, ssr star shark and ssr formula mesh in 14s the starsharks and mesh are in transit but the riverside were in aus so went and picked them up last week unfortunately 2 have been sprayed grey, lip, centre, even over riverside sticker theyre 14x7 +4 and 14x7 -3.5 decided to wash all the dirt off from spinning so much at qr, put the grill on and re mounted the lip as it came off many a time when i spun while waiting for the car to dry i paint stripped the wheels shiny then siliconed the bumpers etc put it back in the driveway painstakingly masked up the "star" area painted mean! will be sweet when i find the time to get em all done 9 days til track, just gotta fit some tyres and do an oil change and good to go slpery.wordpress.com |

Those blue swaybars are Cusco items correct?
How do you like them? Would you say they are good for drifting or for regular track driving? Have a new pair stashed somewhere, just curious how they work out, being pretty darn thick as uprated swaybars go,. FABRICA MI DIEM, PVNC! |
