Old Skool TRD Wheels - Info
Hi friends,
I'm trying to deal with a set of old TRD wheels, 13" x 8J. They are very light, they should be magnesium made. They are similar to these ones: Do you know if they will fit in my AE86? Because i don't know the offset and i don't find any information about the wheels. Also what tires should i fit in these wheels? 205? Keeping the AE86 alive! |

The old ones are mostly from early racing corolla's and KP61s. RWD offsets throughout so usually they will fit an AE86, but no guarantee that this will happen without some fender pulling or flares. Decent street tires are near impossible to find in suitable size, but most people don't care a lot about that so you should be ok. There are 230- size tires still available from yokohama and I believe there is a Hankook too. Otherwise you can go dorifto and stretch a normal 13 inch tire onto them. Ultimate performance is available through 235 wide Avon ACB10 semi-slicks, but they come at a cost and wear very quickly.
The TRD rims are highly sought after and usually cost 1000$ and upwards. Very cool oldscool look, but never saw em on the modern looking AE86. A wheel to steer the front of the car A pedal to steer the rear |

Have a look into ronal kleeblatt wheels.. I believe those look 99% the same, but chances are they only came in 4x100.

Well, my boss as a stock of about 40 rims like these ones...
Almost certainly that will not be used again ever... So i'm tried to ask him to give one set for my ae86... They are from TRD for sure... I think the PCD is 114.3... Keeping the AE86 alive! |

Yeah, it's a Group B car.
Very fast with 140bhp and 650 Kg. I'll try to put some more pics... It was made by TRD in the Touring Car Championhsip back in the 80's. In mountain and city course it gave lots of headaches to the most more powerfull Ford BDA and 911 RSR Keeping the AE86 alive! |
