starting problems

I'm just about to reassemble my car and i need your help
firts, i have searched the forum and the whole www and haven't found anything that could help me.

My car won't start. The problem is arround the starter. When i turn the key the pinion moves out but the starter doesn't turn at all.
I tried 7 !! different starters including a new one and it's all the same.
I checked the wiring, meassured the voltage and resistance on each cable, and everything is as it should be.

I'm grateful for any help

Sounds like a broken relay to me. But I can't tell you where it is as I haven't spend any time under AE86 bonnets...

There should be two wires going to the starter. One is energised by the
keyswitch and drives the solenoid. The solenoid pushes the pinion out
and closes the starter motor contacts. This one is working.

The second heavier wire supplies power directly from the battery to the
starter motor contacts... this one is not working !!! Trace it back towards
the battery and check for broken or disconnected wires.

i forgot to mention that i have a zenki model which doesn't have a starter relay
but thanks for the help anyway

my friend and i always thought that the thicker cable of these two has to be grounded since it's a loooong time ago when we disassembled the car and no one has kept in mind how it was connected
