Pinout of some connectors needed for removing JB2
I want to remove the junction box number 2 in the engine compartment because it's having issues with some wires. So I'm going to make a new loom and fit the necessary relays and fuses somewhere in the cabin.

I've been researching the electric wiring diagrams to figure out the pinouts for the connectors. This is probably doable, but takes a lot of time Sleepy I'm hoping that someone did this before and wrote down the pinout for the connectors Smile

These three connectors enter the cabin from JB2/engine compartment loom. LHD drivers side to JB1.

My guess is that connector 1 (18 pin) is a feedthrough to JB3 and probably contains the signal wires for the indicators/headlights/fogs ect.
Connector 2 (6 pin) probably feeds 12v from the battery?
Connector 3 (10 pin) also enters JB1

In the LHD passenger side this two pin connector is attached to JB4.

And this 18 pin (part of the engine loom, which is also going to be replaced) is probably fed through to JB3 also (containing wipers, washer ect)

Anyone, by any chance, have this written down and want to share it? Thanks!

Guess I had to do some research so I should share my findings Sleepy

Luckily I had both looms in storage as a spare so this made measuring a bit easier.

Some connectors are still unknown for me (they are not attached to anything in my car) and some are missing completely (I guess the spare engine bay loom is zenki and the car kouki) so this is definitely not complete or fully correct. But it holds the information that I need to make new looms for my car.

Use at your own risk Smile I don't know anything about this for specific wiring issues. My goal was figuring out which pins to feed 12v in JB1 and JB4 and which pins to use to control the lights/wiper/washer with the original switches.

Thanks for sharing! I'll pin the topic so that it remains on top of the technical section. Thumbs up!

Are you aware that we have electrical diagram manuals available for download on the aeu86 home site? Every connector in the car is described (although some kouki stuff may not be in there), even down to drawings of the connectors.

Yes, I have them on paper. But maybe I'm using them wrong.

I couldn't find a overview with the pinout of every connector. I had to write everything down wire by wire. Almost every wire is on a different page so tracing them physically was easier in my opinion ...
