I think I'll pass on all of those front swaps. It works when its a Stagea with a Skyline front or an S13 with S15 front, but those 86 swaps just don't fit.

It's an oldie from Video Option, but I happen to bump into it today. Here is the crew of Video Option testing the lateral support of bucket seats by tying Eiji "Tarzan" Yamada up in one. As a baseline they use the kouki AE86 seat:
Fast forward to 2:22 for the "testing" Spoiler: the AE86 seat sets a decent baseline of 36 degrees, while a quality bucketseat does at least double. 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

Very inspiring story behind Juicebox' Trueno:
And the unnamed person who sent him that video is no other than our very own r.ave! 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |

I wonder what the original Japanese owner would think if he found out his old car is now on youtube being rebuilt by pikeys. |

Well, I didn't discover the footage, I merely informed him that you posted the video on here and spotted his car.
He didn't exaggerate in the video about his response btw |

Shortly before the covid-19 lockdown I had a shopping spree on Yahoo Auctions. I bought a couple of brochures and some auctions described as "fold out poster". I had it shipped by seafare two days before the lockdown in the Netherlands, so once it arrived the office I work in was closed and deserted and the package was sent back to Japan.
Fast forward to late July when I get the message they received a returned to sender package and I requested it to be shipped by airmail this time. They apologized the queue for reshipping was long (I guess they got like 80% of their packages returned to sender) and they shipped it finally after one month waiting. So when the package arrived I totally forgot about the "fold out poster" and it turned out to be a four page magazine ad. So I scanned them: I felt a bit scammed (well, what do you expect for 300 yen?) but on the other hand it's a great to see how Toyota advertised the AE86 in Japan. My question would be: should I try to touch them up better (correcting the "shadows" by the flip side ads and blending in some graphics from the brochures to make them complete) or keep them this way for authenticity? 1983 - AE86 Sprinter Trueno - import project 2013 - Honda Civic sport - daily driver 2004 - AEU86 dot ORG - daily domain Support our forum, buy from the AEU86 shop: |
