a lot of guys are like that because of CANADIANS
CANADIAN law is not the same as USA law

In Canada you can have a credit card refund up to 6 months
in the USA its 45 days?

so what happens is you send the parts to Canada then 2,3 or 4 months later dude says he never got the parts
so you are out the parts and the money
it has even happend to me so i do know this story is true

thats why a lot of Americans do not want to deal with international BS
me if i do not know the person well enough or it is a large sum
then i ask for them to mail me travlers cheque's
which are available at pretty much any bank in the world

Max

Max,

Can't you send the goods with signing? Thats something we regularly do in holland, the reciever needs to sign for recieving the goods so they can never deny not recieving it. So if they cancel the payment you can sue em..

Harkes, don't wait to long with putting things in motion though, the longer you wait the harder it gets especially if he doesn't react (they will be asking you why you took so long before you acted), it would be a different story if they guy reacts nicely and its just the shipping that takes long, shipping can always take long, things can be hold up at customs, etc. but sellers not reacting etc is never a good sign.

Possitive feedback can be easily generated. Also remember, sellers often do pretty good within the country their based, but have problems working outside of their own country (shipping problems, language problems, customs problems, etc) . I had the same problem with a german company, they do great business within germany (if I am to believe their ebay stats) but completely f'ed up my order. My problem was that I wanted more parts then they offered on ebay so I contacted them directly, that means you loose the ebay safety backing.. I did get my money back thanks to alot of help from one of the other forum members here who acted as a translator Big Grin

Would actually be nice idea if ebay groups the feedback based on geographic location of buyers.. that gives you a good insight if a seller also works good with foreign customers..

well when it comes to sales most credit card companies side with the customer
you as the SELLER have to prove you shipped it
the system is not bad
it is just all the dirt bags out there who try to scam other people
if we got rid of all those guys there would be no problems Smile

Max,

Goes both ways don't it, enough sellers who are scum bags, enough buyers who try and rip us off. World just aint a fair place Sad

Still, tracking systems of shipping companies do help out alot, or atleast they should, they only prove you shipped something afterall, they never proved what you shipped....
