Rear disk brake conversion?

Rear disk brake conversion? How Where do i get brackets? Do they need to be made? Can i take them from some other car? what Calipers and rotors do i use?

if you dont already have a GT spec (with lsd) rear axle and not planning to get one, then i think you have to make your own brackets. if you have gt axle, then check at toyota if the brackets still available. here you can find the part numbers youre looking for:

if you go for cheap way, do as i did: redrilled ae86 brackets + golf 4 rear calipers and primera p11 rear disks.

are these LSD rear axles hard to come by and will it fit on my 84 sr5

just search a little on this forum. this conversion is commonly done. yes it will fit since the sr5 and gt body is the same. all the 86es are the same underneath.

And search for parts on club4AG...cheaper shipping if stuff doesn't need to cross the ocean. Also lots of info in the reference sections of AEU86 and club4AG (startpage).

HAHA ya one thing i have seen is that alot of you guys are across the "POND" but thanks for the help. Made a good amount of progress last weekend on it. Im pumped to get this thing under way. Still looking for a stock 12A intake and carb.
