SOS, bucket seats q
Anybody knows about bucket seats installation?
I ve found a really good sabelt seat, with no installation "rails" (not sure thats the right term)... Which companies make direct fit rails for the AE86... any ideas? danielvanderwoude Wrote:looks like the nmwisima joke saved you in the endhttp://www.jdmbits.com |

It could be. Depends on the rail and seat. Just try to put the new seat on the stock rails. Then see how everything lines up. Maybe you only need to make some extra holes. Maybe you need to put 2 strips of metal on the rail to bolt the seat down. Just check how the holes line up first.

The stock rails on a hachi are mad.. they are really tailer made for these seats. Hard to use them for any other seat...
Most tuning shops sell universal rails, you could use those but it will mean some fabrication to make them fit on the hachi body. Jon, whats the price for those rails from japan? I might go with a driver side only semi bucket eventually. Greetz, Bastiaan "mux213" Olij Moved down under, no more hachi |

The rails tend to cost around £50 to get to here, but it does depend on make and style. I can put together some examples if your interested.

Hey Achilleas don't even think of making custom rails for your bucket seat if your mechanic isn't an "artist" ... Prefer the ready to bolt on solution...
I know because i did it with a pair of Recaros and they were always broken at the points welded... (damn weight and drifting-gs) AE86 FANATIC!!! |
