Seam welding, a few questions
I have a question to those of you who have actually done this/had it done to your cars. How noticable is the difference? Enough to be worth all the hours?
I have been reconsidering lately and wondering if I should seamweld the chassis after all. But as I am not an experienced welder I am worried about getting in above my head. Best learn how to walk before trying to run... '85 AE86 4AGE, '94 SW20 3SGTE, '83 KP61, 72' RA21 |

Seam welding, a few questions
ok,
Since you talk so loud I have a ae86,and i drove it for a short time before i rebuild it,i had before i took it apart mounted trd 6k front and 4,3k rear, and the car drove okay, but not like the old red one i had, were there was a "weld in cage"in,this drove much better. So when it had this silver one apart, i seam welded the front , and it made the car handle much firmer,in a good way, the big diff i can fell,is when going over speedbumps, then i can really fell the differrence /Skassa Any fool can go fast in a straight line.
