Searching for front springs (rally)
[quote="filh"]here is the number on the Bilstein shock : F4-P30 0098-H006
How were the Bilsteins with the springs ? mine are the same part no. but they seem a little 'soft' especially on rebound with 5kg springs. It could be that you could save me having them re-built !! An analogue brain in a digital World |

I prefer to keep them as spare parts , as I know two shops rebuilding them !Trd are getting rare and if I'm not swapping to coil over , I'll use them again!
And I still haven't found what I'm looking for (U2? : links in Europe to buy springs (6 or 7kg front ). My link on Ebay for 6kg Swift (65$) is asking 90$ for shipping . It's rather normal , but could be so expensive if I get caught by the Belgian Customs . Filh Filh Save the RWD cars |

speedindustries here on the forum might be a good place (he's in switzerland though, so you still risk having to pay customs).

Taks for the link. TRied to access site , but it's under construction, and yes taxes will be asked if coming from Switzerland.
I thought it was easier to find springs in Europe phil Filh Save the RWD cars |

All I can say is that a lot of people are very pleased with Swift springs.
Some even say that they feel stiffer than other brands. (even though the stiffness advertised is the same) If you don't what to pay taxen just let the shipper put a smaller value on the package. The dutch law is: If below 40euro then no tax(counts like a gift or something). I bet it's the same in belgium too. 65$ is alsmost 40euro with the going rate.. |

Not really the same rule here: I bought an intake big to small port adapter plate in USA , price 40€ and I was charged with 37€ taxes (helped by UPS: 13€)
The belgian customs are really active and well known abroad. I use to pay 90€ taxes on a 170€ camera , and there was no invoice joined. Also had the same problem with a lighted flywheel (100€ taxes on 265€) The trick of writing a low value on parcel doesn't work anymore , and they don't hesitate to open boxes . And as they have it in hands , there'is nothing elseto do than paying to get your parts . That's why I avoid non european buy( Switzerland excepted) . But it seems hard to find springs for AE86 here , easier to find coilover springs . phil Filh Save the RWD cars |
